WildLens is a free, non-commercial platform that maps Indian wildlife and environment news. We have no account system and no login, and we do not sell any data. To understand how many people use the site, we use privacy-respecting analytics (described below) — one of which sets cookies and only runs if you consent.
We collect no personally identifying data. Specifically:
We use two analytics tools purely to measure aggregate traffic (visits, page views, approximate region, referrer). We never use them to identify you personally.
WildLens aggregates publicly available news articles from third-party RSS feeds. We display headlines, publication dates, source names, and article links. We do not store article content — only metadata needed to display the map pin (headline, URL, source, date, location coordinates).
Clicking "Read article" opens the original publisher's website in your browser. That publisher's own privacy policy applies to your visit there.
The WildLens app and website use a service worker to cache files on your device for offline access. This cache contains only app files and the latest news data — no personal information. You can clear this cache at any time through your browser or app settings.
WildLens does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app contains no advertising, no in-app purchases, and no social features.
If this policy changes materially, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of WildLens constitutes acceptance of any changes.
